The SNCTA union, which represents the majority of striking air traffic controllers, announced that it would reduce the length of its industrial action by one day. Airlines were confident they could return to a normal flight schedule on 13 June

There are a number of current and potential strikes through Europe this week.
At the moment we are monitoring the following:
11 – 12June – Air Transport Unions strike in France
12 – 14June – SNCF specific strike in France
12 June – pan European Air Traffic control affecting (currently) France, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Rep, Portugal, Austria and Belgium
14 June – AZ airlines strike in Italy
There may also be a knock on affect in other countries including Spain.

Eton Travel Update - Electronic Visa (ETA) for Travel to Turkey
The Turkish Government has introduced a web-based visa issuance system. The ETA is an electronic authorisation from the government to enter Turkey,
for touristic or business purposes. It is the equivalent to a visa, but no stamp or label is placed in the passport. The e-Visa application can be downloaded
