Continued Disruption to Flights at Frankfurt Airport due to Strike Action (21 – 24 Feb 2012)
It has been advised there is continued disruption to flights at Frankfurt Airport due to strike action from members of the German union for air traffic workers. The latest walkout started at 0400hrs GMT on 20 February and was due to continue until 0400hrs GMT on 22 February. It will now be extended to 2200hrs GMT on Friday, 24 February 2012. The airport operator, Fraport, has so far been running around 70-80 per cent of flights by using staff from other areas of operations.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights before departing for the airport. We will continue to monitor the situation and will advise of any updates. Disruption to Iberia Flights due to Strike Action (20 to 29 Feb 2012)
We have been informed that Iberia pilots plan to take part in industrial action on 20, 24 and 29 February which will have an impact on Iberia services.
BA services to and from Spain are not affected and will operate normally, as will any flights operated by Air Nostrum.
If you are booked to travel on a BA service operated by Iberia, an Iberia prime flight or a BA flight to or from Madrid on 20, 24 or 29 February then you may:
Change your travel dates to an alternative date, up until 24 March 2012 or Refund your booking to the original form of payment.
